Using Sortd
Sortd is being developed as a way for households to find local tradespeople and manage home service jobs. The private test site uses fake data and is for evaluation only. Please do not enter real personal, payment or job information.
Accounts
Customers and pros can create an account with email and password or Google. A verified email and South African mobile number are required before using account features. Keep your login details private and use accurate information for the account you control.
Quotes and work
Pros prepare their own quotes and customers choose whether to accept one. Job details, timing and the scope of work should be checked before acceptance. A quote is an offer from the pro, not a price guarantee from Sortd.
Payments
Payment, cancellation and refund rules are still being finalised. The private test site must not be used for real payments. The final terms will explain how payments and any platform fees work before a live service launches.
Issues and changes
The live service is intended to provide a way to raise a problem with a job. The final terms will describe the process, time limits and responsibilities. This draft may change as the product and legal review progress.
